July has quickly turned busy in the Atlantic basin as we now have our second storm in just the past few days.
Tropical Depression #3 has formed off the Carolina coast. TD #3 is forecast to become Tropical Storm Chris on Saturday.
The first forecast track from the National Hurricane Center meanders the storm off the eastern seaboard before heading out to sea next week. There is the potential that future Chris could strengthen to a hurricane.

It should be noted that this system is no threat to the Gulf.
