Tornado threat increasing for east Texas and west Louisiana

As thunderstorms continue to evolve in Texas, the Storm Prediction Center has issued another Tornado Watch, in effect until 6am.  This area covers much of east Texas and west Louisiana but remains just to the north of the I-10 corridor.  These watches will continue to get released as we get toward sunrise and beyond.

Primary threats include…
*A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
*Widespread damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
*Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible

Be ready for a stormy Saturday as well as a flash flood threat where rainfall totals could be from 2 to 4 inches, along with isolated areas over 6 inches.
