The pattern across the United States is now transitioning to the summer regime.
As we work through the remainder of the week on into the holiday weekend, expect high temperatures to climb into the lower 90s. By Memorial Day, highs could spike to the middle and upper 90s as a ridge of high pressure intensifies.
The humidity will be high but not August-like so feels like readings should stay in the low 100s which should not warrant any type of heat advisory.
The higher heat and high pressure will keep rain chances basically non-existent for the foreseeable future.
If you have plans to head to the Florida beaches this weekend, the heat will be an even bigger story to our east. The ridge is expected to anchor itself over the Florida Panhandle sending many of those areas into the triple digits.
