The last day of July will bring showers and thunderstorms across the region. Some of these storms will be strong to severe with heavy rain, gusty winds, dangerous lightning and large hail. Because of these, the Storm Prediction Center has included a large portion of our region in a Marginal Risk for severe weather.
We already have lots of activity underway in east Texas and west Louisiana this morning. This will all be pushing east through the day across eastern Louisiana and Mississippi
Expect flash flooding in the usual poor drainage areas.
