A hybrid low pressure system near the Florida panhandle will be working its way west over the next 3 days. This will bring rounds of heavy rain to parts of the gulf coast.
So far, southeast Louisiana, south of the I-10/12 corridor seems to be the bulls eye for the heaviest rainfall. 3 to 5 inches look probable, but isolated higher amounts will be possible. The National Weather Service is monitoring trends to see if a Flash Flood Watch will be needed.
These are the kinds of events which often lead to our spring/summer flood events. Be weather aware over the next few days.
