It’s 95 here right now.. Low humidity and windy.. Are we in the desert or the southeast? Lol

Yep, NOLA broke a record today with a high of 95 degrees.  I noticed my weather station was reading 95 earlier and I thought it was off LOL…guess not.

Feel like temperature of 100 here in BR right now.  Almost heat advisory criteria in the middle of May.  Gonna be a brutal summer if this holds up.

New Orleans broke another record today with a high of 96 today.  The old record was set in 1992.  Baton Rouge also broke a record with 96 today…previously set back in 1963.

I know it takes more than just heat but just starting to feel that this heat wave so early may be a bad sign for hurricane season.

Finally rain on the radar!   There were a few severe thunderstorm warnings that were in effect earlier, the latest being in south Lafourche but has since expired at 10pm.

The Weather Channel (I know, they suck) has placed the BR area’s chance of rain today to 90%. There is some rain on radar trying to develop, too. Hopefully this is the day I finally get some rain!

I really hope we get some good soaking rains soon……if it takes a slow moving, WEAK tropical system I’ll take it.

The sky has been so boring and the haze has been building up.

I’m waiting for some more interesting weather so I can take some good videos with my new drone…..
