    Honestly, it’s looking pretty quiet around here for the next 2 weeks.  Maybe a couple boomers on Saturday but that’s about it.

    This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Southeast
    Louisiana...South Mississippi and the adjacent coastal waters.
    
    .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
    
    River flood warnings remain in effect along the Mississippi River
    from Red River Landing to Baton Rouge and along the Lower Pearl 
    River from Bogalusa to Pearl River. Refer to the latest river 
    flood statements for more details.
    
    Isolated thunderstorms will be possible today and one or two could
    be strong however severe weather is not anticipated. 
    
    .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
    
    River flood warnings will remain in effect along the Mississippi 
    River around Red River Landing through the forecast however at 
    Baton Rouge the river is forecast to finally fall below flood
    stage around the middle of the work week. The Lower Pearl River 
    is expected to fall below flood stage over Sunday. Refer to the 
    latest river flood statements for more details.

    4.5 Magnitude Earthquake reported at 11:54 am …120 miles south of Grand Isle in the Gulf of Mexico.

    NO tsunami threats to the coast.

    This week will probably be the warmest of the spring season thus far….we should see lower 90’s by the end of the week before our next rain chance sneaks in for the second half of the weekend into early next week, but even that’s questionable right now.

    I was away from radar all today today.  Is this legit?

     

    Metairie [Jefferson Co, LA] BROADCAST MEDIA reports TSTM WND DMG at 4:20 PM CDT — MINOR ROOF DAMAGE OCCURRED AT A GARDEN CENTER. THE REPORTS CAME FROM BROADCAST MEDIA AND SOCIAL MEDIA. THE TIME WAS ESTIMATED FROM RADAR.

    Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible mainly along 
    and west of the Mississippi River today. Those capable of 
    developing into thunderstorms could become strong or even severe. 
    The main hazard would be strong downburst winds.
    
    A river flood warning remains in effect along the Mississippi 
    River near Red River Landing until early next week. Refer to the 
    latest river flood statements for more details.
    
    .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
    
    Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected  
    Monday. An isolated strong or even severe thunderstorm will be
    possible. The main hazard would be strong downburst winds.
