It’s a battle for the boot over the next few days as Fall tries to will its way back into Louisiana but not everyone will get to experience the cooler weather.
A strong front will move into the state Monday afternoon and will slowly move across the state throughout the overnight hours Monday into Tuesday. Eventually this front will stall across Southeast Louisiana so for the residents of the eastern part of the state, the warmth is here to stay.
THAT…my friends is a real cold front. Problem is it doesn't have the push to clear all of Louisiana. After record heat today in advance of the front, next few days look to be drastically different between eastern LA(stays warm) and western LA(much cooler) #lawx pic.twitter.com/neYzFAL5GE

Locations back west in Southwest Louisiana will experience a chilly forecast as highs struggle to make it much above the lower 60s and all locations will have to contend with periods of wet weather with the stalled boundary across the area.
