Beryl and Chris…neither posing much of a threat

Over night, Tropical Depression #3 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Chris. Chris should continue to slowly intensify and is forecast to become the 2nd hurricane of the season on Monday. Chris does not pose a threat to the United States as he should remain well offshore.

Beryl looks a little better this morning in terms of satellite presentation, however she’s moving into an area of highly unfavorable conditions. This strong westerly wind shear should be the final chapter for Beryl. Beryl still poses no threat to the Gulf.

Elsewhere, the tropics remain quiet for the next week.
