The tropical Atlantic remains quiet…for now

The entire Atlantic basin is currently calm with no signs of disturbed weather which is quite the norm for this early in the season.  However, how much longer will this last?  Some of the global models are suggesting our next area to keep an eye on.  That being the western Caribbean.  This is quite a popular area on our side of the world for early season activity so none of this is out of the ordinary.  At this time, it’s way too early to even speculate actual storm development, much less any kind of forecast track.

If confidence increases as we get closer, you can be sure the staff here at StormCast will be on top of it. Just another reminder of what time of the year we’re in, and that’s hurricane season.
