I know it’s the last thing you want to hear after that stint of good feel air last weekend but it’s inevitable here in the South, fall is going on hold for the next week or so.
High temperatures are poised to make it back into the 90s this weekend and once you factor in the humidity, heat indices will be close to 100 during the afternoon hours.
I don’t see any changes coming for the next several days as we have reverted back to a more typical summertime pattern with the exception of those daily storms. Rain chances for the next week will be spotty at best as we have no major weather systems to increase our rain coverage.
Looking far ahead, our second front of fall may arrive around the start of October.
