Nate makes landfall at the mouth of the Mississippi River

Hurricane Nate made landfall at the mouth of the Mississippi River Saturday evening around 7 p.m. as a 85 mph storm.

A second landfall is expected to come around midnight along the Mississippi Gulf Coast after the storm crosses the Breton Sound.

Some of the latest wind gusts being reported: Offshore Venice 74 mph, Bay St. Louis 49 mph, Belle Chasse 52 mph, New Orleans 44 mph
