A large severe weather outbreak is expected across LA late Friday night (SW LA) into Saturday(SE LA). Due to the overnight potential in SW LA, the risk area is skewed just a bit but the threat is still high. All areas should expect an intense squall line to develop over East Texas Friday night before moving across the state thru early afternoon Saturday. All modes of severe weather are possible with the most likely being damaging winds and isolated tornadoes. Hail is a secondary threat and flash flooding is always possible as the line moves thru your area.
The Storm Prediction Center already has a Day 3 Enhanced Risk which many times gets upgraded as we get closer.
All residents are urged to be weather aware Friday night and Saturday, be ready to take action if a warning is issued. Have multiple ways to be alerted, layering your warning avenues saves lives.
