Just like that, the Atlantic goes quiet

Just a few days ago we were monitoring multiple areas that could develop into tropical systems.

Fast forward to present and the one system that did develop, Harvey, has now dissipated over the Caribbean Sea. The other two areas have been diminished to only low chances of development.

It’s now considered the peak of hurricane season so things can change very quickly but for the time being, models are not indicating any major storms over the next several days.
