Cindy makes landfall, heavy rain threat continues

Tropical Storm Cindy made landfall in Cameron Parish, Louisiana around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Throughout the day today the threat for heavy rain continues all along the Gulf Coast.

Rainfall totals have been close to a foot as far east as the Florida Panhandle.

So far in Louisiana totals have ranged from around one inch in the central part of the state to as much as 6-8 inches in the hardest hit areas of Southeast Louisiana.
